Like many things in life, astrophotography is a continuous learning process for me. I'm neither a professional, award-winning or world-renowned photographer. Self-taught, with a healthy mix of trial and error, and eventual success, I've learned not to let perfection get in the way of a great shot. Likewise, in post-processing, I believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I aim to keep the final rendering as true as possible to what was being shot; taking into account the inevitable noise, light and other bits of cleanup required. Primarily, I'll shoot wide with the Canon DSLR and tele-photo with the Dwarf smart telescope. However... Originally from Pennsylvania, I now reside in Maine. By the way, that's not my boat.
